We have already covered in our previous posts that Romelu Lukaku is looking for a move away from Old Trafford this summer transfer window with Manchester United hunting for a replacement for the Big Belgian. You can check them out here, here and here.
The 25-year-old Belgian has had a topsy turvy season at Manchester United with the Striker struggling for goals for the major part of the campaign while scoring in bunches when in form.
There’s a major possibility that Lukaku won’t be a Man United player next season with Marcus Rashford already the preferred choice for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and now former Sunderland and Leeds player Micky Gray has further criticised the Striker for his poor first touch:
“He’s got the worst first touch I’ve ever seen in any striker playing in the Premier League.
“I’m not saying he’s a bad player, he’s a good player, but he’s not Manchester United.
“He [Ole] has got to shift eight players out from the squad. That’s very difficult to do. That’s me being very honest with you. They need to bring in players who are the right fit for Manchester United.”
It’s not a secret that Romelu Lukaku has one of the worst first touches amongst the Star players in world football. The Belgian is a good player who can give you goals when he’s in form, but the 25-year-old also has the tendency to go through long barren spells in front of the goal, especially against the top sides.
Like Micky Gray puts it, Romelu Lukaku is a good player but is he the man to take us back to the Champions League football? Possibly Not!
Do you think we should stick with Lukaku for next season or we should replace him with someone else?
