Manchester United target Giovani Lo Celso is not good enough for the Premier League according to the Liverpool legend Steve Nicol.
Like we covered yesterday, Giovani Lo Celso has been linked with a possible move to Manchester United in the summer.
The Argentine has 9 goals and 5 assists to his name in the La Liga (16 goals in all competitions).
The Real Sociedad star has been a consistent performer in the middle of the pitch which has seen him get linked to various top clubs, including Manchester United.
However, if Liverpool legend Steve Nicol is to be believed, the 23-year-old is nowhere good enough for the Premier League:
“Listen, this guy’s a nice player to watch.
“He’s got a nice left foot, he plays some nice passes, he can score some nice goals.
“But this guy for me is not cut out for the Premier League.
“Physically and mentally I don’t see how he’s tough enough and strong enough to play a season.
“And for what Manchester United need right now, he is absolutely not the answer in the middle of the field.
“So I’m really not quite sure how this has come along.
“This smells to me of an agent trying to get his player attracted to some big clubs and big names.
“But I don’t see how this guy goes to Manchester United.
“I don’t think he’s good enough for Manchester United.”
Manchester United are in a desperate need for a Midfielder capable of scoring goals and creating chances on a consistent basis.
However, spending £88m on Lo Celso when you can sign either of Bruno Fernandes or even Antoine Griezmann at that price seems like a weird move.
Do you think Giovani Lo Celso is good enough to start for us in the next season?
