Injury relief for Liverpool before Southampton match

It has been reported already that Virgil Van Dijk suffered a knock in the 85th minute of the game against Spurs. He then said that he hoped to be okay for the next match. However, it isn’t until tests are run that anyone can say for sure.

Klopp has decided to skip that step and announced soon after the match that in all likelihood Van Dijk’s collision with Mousa Sissokho will not render him injured for the trip to St. Mary’s.

Southampton host Liverpool on the 5th of April. If Liverpool win that match, which they should, they would stay hot on the heels of Manchester City.

“I asked him and I think it was in the counter-attack situation when Sissoko hit him… I don’t know if he twisted it or it is a knock”.

“He was walking to the interviews with a big ice pack. I hope it’s nothing serious but I don’t know yet.”
