According to an online source, Everton are interested in signing Spurs right-back Kieran Trippier, whilst the Daily Mail have claimed that Tottenham have been closely monitoring Toffees centre back Michael Keane.

It can be a great deal for both the teams as Spurs are looking for a homegrown player and Everton are interested in getting someone who can fill in for Seamus Coleman, while they can send their talented right back Jonjoe Kenny out on loan for further development.

Though it seems that the rumoured swap deal would be more beneficial to Tottenham than Arsenal, however, talented defenders in this expensive transfer market are hard to come and opportunities should at least be discussed among the clubs if such situations arise.

We will be keeping a close eye on this development in the coming days.
