Tottenham are now in the thick of the transfer window. Every passing day brings us closer to new arrivals that have been in the making for so long, some as far back as May. We are talking about Jack Clarke’s transfer to Tottenham. Tottenham have been increasingly busy with the much bigger, even record breaking deal for NDombele but that’s not going to steal the thunder from this move.

Jack Clarke to Tottenham finally happening

As reported earlier by us, Tottenham have been chasing Jack Clarke’s transfer since May at the very least. However, a medical issue has so far kept the player off Pochettino’s hands. Things maybe moving fast now after the clubs came to an agreement.

Here’s his hometown reporter claiming a new update:

Tottenham have agreed the transfer fee: worth £8.5 million upfront for the player who only started four Championship games last season but contributed extensively off the bench as Marcelo Bielsa tried to secure promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds have a sell-on clause and loan clause in Jack Clarke deal

Tottenham maybe getting a brilliant youngster on the cheap from Leeds but there are certain privileges that the Elland Road outfit have secured some privileges in the deal.

Leeds United have apparently secured a sell-on clause which ensures that if and when Tottenham decide to get rid of the 18 year old, any profit will have to be shared with Leeds. Further, if Tottenham wish to loan him at any stage after his transfer so as to continue his development, Leeds will get to refuse the chance before anyone else can snap up the left winger.

It seems like the two clubs have agreed to a win-win deal for Jack Clarke’s transfer! Now just sign him up already, we have bigger fish to fry.
