According to various reports published today, Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish is headed to the Old Trafford during the summer after reaching a pre-agreement with Manchester United.
The Telegraph report that despite being loyal to his boyhood club, the 24-year-old wants to accept greater challenges which will improve him even further and would definitely move when the biggest club in England calls.
Goal goes on to claim that ‘the outline of a deal [is] already approved by the Aston Villa star’ and that he is looking for a new house in Manchester ahead of the big move.
Talks have not yet opened between the clubs, the reports say, but Villa are expected to put a £60 million price tag on their prize asset. This may be reduced if the club is relegated from the Premier League this season.
The Birmingham-born player has scored 9 goals and registered 7 assists in his 27 outings this season. His stand-out performances for a struggling Villa side have attracted the attention of the world’s elite, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City also reported to be interested.
He is widely tipped to be called up to the England squad for Euro 2020.
