It was a Sunday to remember for the Blues when they put three past Watford and secured Champions League qualification with a game to spare.
All of Chelsea’s top four rivals dropped points this weekend which meant that Maurizio Sarri’s men are now in the hot seat to clinch the third spot sinking Arsenal and Manchester United to Europa League places.
Three second-half goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek, David Luiz and Gonzalo Higuain were enough for Chelsea to brush aside the Hornets after a very nervy first period.

Loftus-Cheek who came on for N’Golo Kante in the 8th minute took the game by storm and was deservedly lauded by Match of the Day pundit Jermaine Jenas.
“Goals are a rare commodity when it comes to certain midfield players, they are hard to find, and this guy (Loftus-Cheek) has got everything in abundance, goes by people with ease and scores goals,” the ex-Spurs man said.
“I think the biggest thing now with [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek is he feels he belongs, he’s gone from the young kid trying to get a chance to thinking that actually he can hold down a position.
“The difference in your mentality when you’re that young player is absolutely huge. When you look at him now, that’s what he looks like in the manner he commands that area of the pitch. He’s going to be vital to them because of the transfer embargo.”
His BBC Colleague and fellow pundit Ian Wright was quick to follow suit saying that the 23-year-old will only get better as the time progresses.
“Let’s not forget he went to the World Cup on the back of a Premier League season with Crystal Palace so he wasn’t a bad player,” he said.
“What I like about what he’s done as he’s gone ‘ok, fair enough, I accept what you want from me and I will go and change that’.
“It shows me he has got a great attitude and he is prepared to bend sometimes to make sure he plays.”
Do take a look, trust me you’ll be blown away, we were too!
