Manchester United target Joao Felix has revealed that he is very happy at Benfica despite being linked to Manchester United.
The Red Devils are looking to bring in some young blood in the summer transfer window to revamp the squad under Ole Gunnar Solskajer and Joao Felix is one of the lots linked to us.
The 19-year-old has had a wonderful season at Benfica where he has netted 17 goals and provided 7 assists in the process.
With Manchester United in the need of a Winger, we are naturally interested in the Portuguese youngster.
Recently, Felix was inquired about his future at Benfica and the recent links to Manchester United and here’s what he had to say:
‘I think that time will tell.
‘I’m good here, I’m very happy, I love the club, I adore these fans who adore me.
‘I want to enjoy the moment, play football, have fun doing what I like, and then, over time, things happen naturally.
‘I am very happy in Benfica.’
To be fair, that’s the kind of answer you expect from a player who has a contract at his club; Something, our players could and should learn from.
Joao Felix is a brilliant talent who has all the attributes to turn out as one of the best in the world in the next few seasons, if his development continues in the same way.
We have the likes of Lingard and Mata playing on the Right Wing and Joao Felix would be an upgrade to our existing options.
But, would Manchester United be willing to spend £89m on a 19-year-old youngster? What would you do if you were in-charge?
