John Aldridge feels that Adam Lewis has the potential to be a great player at Liverpool in the near future.
The 19-year-old midfielder is one of the most exciting players at the Melwood academy at the moment.
Adam Lewis has already earned his name, playing as a left-back for the Liverpool’s U23’s, and the departure of Alberto Moreno means that he might even get an opportunity as a backup to Andy Robertson, who is the only recognized available option for left-back position at Liverpool.
Aldridge told The Irish Independent: “I would never want to put too much pressure on kids at a formative stage of their career, something would have to go very badly wrong for Lewis not to hit the big-time because he has all the raw materials to become a star.”
Given his incredible potential and the obvious talent, it could be a wonderful chance for Lewis to earn a few first-team minutes under Klopp this season.
The 19-year-old is a versatile player, who can also slot comfortably in the midfield.
He appeared for England in the U19’s European Championships finals played in 2018.
Lewis has also played 21 games for the Premier League 2 division 1 and has scored one goal and chipped in with four assists.
