Liverpool legend John Aldridge has been out of football for some time and speaks from time to time about Liverpool related things. The legendary striker of the 80s team has come across the City players’ video from a plane and like many Liverpool fans is riled up.
Players like Ilkay Gundogan, Danny Rose and Vincent Kompany are seen singing an abusive song to the tune of Anfield’s ‘Allez’. In the song, they talk about last season’s Champions League final in Kiev and also about a number of other derogatory stuff such as being ‘thrashed in the streets’.
Liverpool fan Sean Cox was at the receiving end of fan violence and suffered injuries that were a danger to his life. He has since been in a Coma and intensive care. All of this happened in the semi-final against Roma last year near Anfield.
John Aldridge is speaking for every Liverpool fan when he criticizes the Liverpool players for their lack of class and insensitivity.
We’ve been hearing a lot about football songs this evening and Man City players singing detrimentally about our Massive club!!This is what football singing is all about!pure CLASS,😉BOOM https://t.co/nL9QQLt9JB

Manchester City have issued a statement clarifying that their players were not referring to the incident with Sean Cox and instead just referring to Liverpool’s loss in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
