Former Liverpool player John Aldridge has urged Jurgen Klopp to sign Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha for the outgoing Daniel Sturridge in this summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old has made 34 appearances and scored 10 goals this season in the Premier League.
Zaha has an abundance experience playing in the Premier League and would be an ideal addition for Klopp’s Liverpool squad, who has been valued at £100m in the transfer market.
John Aldridge thinks that Liverpool should attempt to sign Zaha as the Ivorian forward can score goals and take off the pressure from Salah and Mane when they are not getting their shots on target or any of them are injured.
According to Aldridge, “With Daniel Sturridge leaving the club and his huge wages coming off the weekly bill, it opens up the opportunity for Klopp to sign an out-and-out goalscorer who could offer something different if one of the front three is injured or out of form.”
“Zaha has given Liverpool some real problems in the last couple of years, and Klopp’s ability to turn talents of his type into consistent performers has to make him the kind of player who could thrive at Anfield.”
Zaha has played an essential role for Palace in this season as the club finished with a record 38 points finish.
His stunning performances have established him as one of the most sought players in the of season.
