Jose Mourinho managed to spoil a title party at Anfield 5 years ago in April. Now, he is without a job but sadly, Chelsea still exist.
Liverpool play Chelsea at Anfield in what many are likening to the match between Brendan Rodger’s Liverpool and Mourinho’s Chelsea. Demba Ba had scored to leave the Reds behind City in a similar title race. Now, Jose Mourinho has spoken about the upcoming match and it’s similarity to that famous match.
Jose says that to win the league, Liverpool have a must win game every week. Chelsea will also try to do the same because they need to make top four. Different priorities but similar expected outcomes. Only one will prevail. Here’s what Jose thinks of Liverpool v Chelsea today:
“Liverpool-Chelsea in the Premier League is a big one, for many reasons,”
“Liverpool, they have to win every match between now and the end of the season, and wait for Man City to lose a couple of points.
“It’s a must-win for Liverpool. At the same time Chelsea need points to finish top four.
“Manchester United is there, Spurs is there, Arsenal, despite their last defeat, are also there.
“Chelsea needs points. It’s a must-win for both. And to add something more to the game, the last time Liverpool were almost winning the title it was Chelsea who spoiled the celebration at Anfield.
“I’m pretty sure people have that in mind. For me that’s the big game of the weekend.”
