Jose Mourinho has said that he has lots of well cherished moments from his time at the Old Trafford and even has two of his photographs as Manchester United boss in his new office at Tottenham training ground.
The Portuguese mastermind took charge as the new Spurs boss from Mauricio Pochettino a few weeks back and will be visiting Old Trafford for the first time in his new role.
Mourinho’s reign at Manchester United didn’t end well after he reportedly lost the dressing room and fans turned against him, however, Mourinho admits he learnt a lot in the Manchester United job and is now a better manager and person.
About his time at Manchester United, Jose Mourinho says:
About my history there, go to my office upstairs and I still have a couple of pictures of my Manchester United time.
One with the Europa League and my son in Stockholm, and one with Carabao Cup at the top of Wembley. Of course, they are my most cherished memories. No regrets. I won and I learned.
I met my assistants, we analysed everything and it was in a very positive, constructive way. I forbid them to in the analysis to blame anyone else but us. Focus on us. Don’t focus on the club, don’t focus on the players, focus just on us.
What could we do better, what can we do better in the future, where we have to improve. It was very constructive. The point is you win or you learn, you don’t lose. So I feel that. It was good because I managed to win something, some nice things and do some nice things. On the opposite side, I learned and I think I’m a better coach now than when I was there.
