There’s been most activity with Jack Clarke over the weekend compared to any other Spurs transfer target. While there’s a new competitor for the signing of Tanguy NDombele, Clarke’s transfer to Spurs has only been delayed due to medical apprehensions at Spurs.
Jack Clarke deal is almost wrapped up by Tottenham
Reliable Journalist Alan Nixon has been on game and predicted that this week will witness the completion of Jack Clarke’s transfer to Tottenham. The deal is said to be worth a total of £13 million with at least £4.5m of those to be triggered through add-ons.
Leeds fans are not happy with the transfer or the fact that Spurs will have to pay so less for one of the brightest players in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
Another Journo, Another spin
Just as the Jack Clarke to Spurs story was picking up pace across tabloids and news stories, another journalist has come out with more details about the transfer. It has been alleged by Andrew Gaffney that the Jack Clarke deal was done as early as Leeds’ failed play-off attempt.
The only thing holding up the deal at that time was the results of a medical. Spurs wanted to make sure everything was okay with Clarke after he had suffered a seizure whilst on the bench in Leeds’ match against Middlesbrough.

It couldn’t be completed yet because of Spurs’ apprehensions on his fitness. Jack had collapsed to the ground watching the second half of a Leeds game in February. He was taken off the bench on a stretcher after receiving on pitch treatment. Tottenham wanted to wait and watch if there was any serious issues behind his seizure. He had played in the first half of the match and was subbed off before the incident.
