Juan Mata is back fit and travelling with the squad for the second leg fixture against Barcelona on Tuesday.
The Spaniard has been a loyal and humble servant to the club for the past few years and while he may not start the game tomorrow night, the midfielder could well be an option from the bench at some point of time.
Writing in his weekly blog, Juan Mata has suggested that while we do have a mountain to climb, anything is possible in football:
“We are now in what could be the final four weeks of the season and every game is key. You have to mix your desire with responsibility, but you always have to be fully motivated.
“Tomorrow, we have the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League and we are travelling to Barcelona with that motivation.
“Being 0-1 behind isn’t a good scoreline, but we are Manchester United and, when you wear this shirt, anything is possible.
“It is something that I have already repeated on many occasions, but it is real, and we have experienced it several times this season.”
“I hope that, on Tuesday, we can experience another magical evening. We have to believe.”
Believe. That is the word of the day.
We may be an inferior side on the paper, but we’ve surely got what it takes to cause an upset at Camp Nou. Messi and co. can phone their friend Neymar if they have any doubts about that!
