According to media reports, the Liverpool boss was full of praises for the Benfica midfielder, for his “physical ability,” “aggressiveness,” and the way he could adjust to the needs of the game.
It has also been suggested that “there was no approach for future business,” but it’s certainly interesting to hear, that Liverpool will now be eyeing the talented midfielder.
The 20-year-old plays as an attacking midfielder, with an ability to play deep in the midfield and also on the left wing.
The aggression, along with versatility in his gameplay, will surely make him an obvious choice for Klopp’s squad.
Tavares signed a new contract with Benfica, which runs until 2023, and he told media after signing the deal that “whoever plays with this crest to his chest must always leave everything on the pitch.”
It has to be seen if Jurgen Klopp will make any move for the midfielder who could play a role in rotating the ball in the midfield to supply the ball to the wingers.
