Liverpool and Tottenham will play the Champions League final on June 1 in Madrid. The two English clubs reached the final on the back of their respective comeback victories against Barcelona and Ajax. The final is only a couple of days ago and this is the time for the grand pre-match press conference.
Jurgen Klopp hosted his press conference and answered the questions posed by media. Most important for fans in the pre-match presser are the injury updates. Tottenham for their part are witnessing the return of Harry Kane in all likelihood.
Liverpool have received an injury boost of their own, with Roberto Firmino reportedly ready for the big time. This being the second consecutive final for Liverpool, the pressure on them will be bigger. Spurs are not expected to dominate as many people have already pointed to the huge gap in investments by the two clubs.
Regardless, if Harry Kane is playing, Spurs will be competitive. Even Gary Lineker has advised Pochettino to play the England striker if he is fit for the match.
Here’s Klopp speaking about the imminent fitness of Roberto Firmino, who had been nursing an injury of his own since the last few weeks of the Premier League season:
“Bobby trained, then we took him out then he will be in training again tomorrow. All what we saw looked good. He will be fine, I’m sure.”

Only a final remains in between the Champions League trophy and the next European Champions! Will it be Klopp at the third time of asking or Pochettino’s frugal fighters?
