Erkan Alkan, who represents Tahith Chong in the transfer market as his agent, made it quite clear on 1st of November 2019 that his client was no longer staying at Manchester United. It’s unknown whether Manchester United did not put a big enough offer for him on the table or he wasn’t interested in extending his contract at all.
No matter what might be the case, one thing is clear. The 20-year-old will be leaving the Old Trafford once his contract expires by the end of the season as he’s so far not signed an extension with the Red Devils.
One club who are said to be massively interested in the Dutchman’s services are Juventus.
Italian newspaper Tuttosport claim it’s going to be a repeat of Paul Pogba saga yet again as the Old Lady are planning to sign the winger as a free agent by the end of the season.
Paul Pogba signed for Juventus for free in 2012, while Manchester United had to pay close to 100 million euros to get the player back.
It’s claimed the Serie A winners are ‘very close’ to signing an agreement with Chong and he could join the Old Lady as a free agent next summer.
The potential operation is considered as a big boost for Juve, not only because it’ll be a free transfer, but Chong is ‘unanimously considered one of the most interesting profiles’ in Europe.
