Jurgen Klopp has delivered great news for Liverpool fans in his pre-Porto press conference.
Joe Gomez suffered an injury in December (leg break) and has been a=out of action since then, undergoing 2 injuries in the process.
But the good news is that the Englishman is back fit and training with the squad:
“He could be maybe [available] but for him it’s better to have more sessions. Joe needs that, he is not long enough in training.
“If we don’t struggle players-wise, that we don’t have enough, then we should not think about Joe for the next one or two weeks because now he needs really proper training. He was around, that was good.”
Gomez broke his leg in December and it looked like our season will slip away when Lovren also got injured in January.
However, Joel Matip has been brilliant in the heart of our defence alongside VVD and the pair have been amazing since.
With Joe still needing some time, the pair of VVD and Matip should be good enough for Porto!
