According to David Ornstein, Divock Origi will not be leaving Liverpool this summer – despite him signing a new contract or not.
While the Independent states that Liverpool has offered Origi a new contract, as his current deal expires in 2020.
Origi’s worth at Liverpool has increased after he played a key role in Liverpool’s win against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals.
The striker still hasn’t committed about his future at Anfield, but Jurgen Klopp is willing to keep him at the club.
Also, Liverpool has shown no interest in selling Origi this summer but should be prepared to lose him on a free transfer.
However, the Anfield management feels that any fee that they are offered for Origi this summer will not be acceptable to convince them at all, seeing his stellar performance.
The Belgian international came to the limelight with his performance against Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League scoring the winning goal for Barcelona.
The 24-year-old forward has made 12 appearances for the club this season as a substitute and scored three goals.
