Liverpool should look for two more signings to challenge the trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane for the next season.
That’s the viewpoint of former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison while speaking on BBC Radio 5Live.
And Hutchinson thinks that Timo Werner of RB Leipzig, and Valencia’s Goncalo Guedes, would be the ideal additions to their squad.
“I would go for Timo Werner at RB Leipzig. It’s only a matter of time before Bayern Munich try and buy him,” he said.
“He’s the right age; he’s 23. Another one is Gonzalo Guedes at Valencia.
“He’d be good for them. I could see him in a Liverpool shirt.”
He also believes that the pair of Salah, Firmionho and Mane being the most fearsome frontline having played so many games together that they are most likely to need cover.
“They need people of that ilk who can come into the XI and strengthen the XI and make Salah and Firmino fight for their place.
Liverpool ended their season gloriously by winning the Champions League their silverware with Jurgen Klopp and their sixth European Cup overall.
