Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward held a crisis talk with the likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Mike Phelan in the aftermath of the defeat against Manchester City at the Old Trafford.
Man United made a bright start to the encounter but lost their way, thanks to some consistent pressing from the Guardiola’s side and poor finishing from the home side.
Ed Woodward reportedly met OGS and Mike Phelan after the game to discuss the mounting problems at the club, the players who need to be shipped out and also the potential signings that we need in the summer window.
“Sunday is a massive one.
“Sunday is something that we have to get ready for, the crowd has got to get ready for, the players have got to get ready for.
“Of course we have analysed them and let’s just make sure we turn up on Sunday with the same attitude and a little bit more quality in front of goal.
“Hopefully we can get the win everyone here wants and the fans deserve, the players deserve.
“They have made a terrific effort to give us a chance with three games to go to be in the top four.”
A win against Chelsea will give us the boost and probably a fighting chance to secure a spot in the top 4. A draw or a loss would effectively end our chances for the Champions League next season!
