Eric Bailly is having a tough time at Manchester United this season after it was reported that the defender was crying in Manchester United’s dressing room.
The Ivorian has spent most of his time on the medical table, thanks to his injury problems but the defender made an inspiring comeback against Chelsea last night.
However, his comeback night didn’t end as well as he expected with the Ivorian suffering another injury in his knee that ended in him leaving the Old Trafford in excruciating pain.
Now, according to the latest reports, Eric Bailly’s injury could be more serious than expected as the Defender could have suffered a potential ligament damage to his knee which could keep him out for months.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked about Bailly’s situation in the post-match interview, and the gaffer confirmed that the defender is definitely out for this season:
‘I think it is a bad knee injury,’ the United manager said after the match. ‘Hopefully, it is not the worst case. ‘I am sure we won’t see him again this season, unfortunately.’
Bailly has recently been linked to Arsenal in the summer transfer window but the injury last night could mean that the 25-year-old will still be a Red Devil by the start of the next season.
