Philippe Coutinho was supposed to have the time of his life at Barcelona after he completed his move from Liverpool for £142m, give or take a few million.
However, the move didn’t quite materialize for the Brazilian who has struggled to make his name at the Catalan club, turning into just another soldier in a squad led by Messi.
Now, discontent and unhappy, Coutinho is looking to escape from Messi’s shadow and the 26-year-old is looking for a way out, possibly to Premier League.
It wasn’t long ago that Manchester United was identified as a possible destination for Coutinho if recent reports are to believed, that perception has changed. Why? You ask…
According to the latest reports, Coutinho was booed and jeered by the faithful United fans during Barcelona’s match against Man United at Old Trafford because of his Liverpool history.
Now, Coutinho and his agents are worried that the Brazilian may have a hard time adjusting to life in Manchester, more so, if he makes a slow start to his Premier League campaign.
The Brazilian is worried that the fans may not afford him enough time or love at Manchester and will not ‘forgive his Liverpool past’.
To that we say, ‘you are not wrong Phil’. Maybe, you should try some other club. We hear Chelsea are hiring after Eden Hazard to Real Madrid deal!
