Paris Saint Germain are out hunting for players for their attempts at the Champions League. While clubs like Tottenham reached the first final in their history on the back of some phenomenal team building and exquisite luck, the likes of PSG have a lot of money to spend. They want Tottenham’s Eriksen this summer on the cheap.
However, why spend all of the money when you can do barter with other clubs. In the latest rumours related to Tottenham and PSG, the clubs are said to be considering a part player exchange for Christian Eriksen.
A player exchange involving Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen and PSG’s Draxler
PSG want to include Julian Draxler in the deal for the Spurs’ Danish midfielder. Tottenham’s Eriksen revealed during the UEFA Nations League that he wants to move out of Spurs but his preferred club Real Madrid have yet to come calling. It was one of the cliched ‘come and get me’ pleas.
As a matter of fact, his agent came out and said there were three offers on the table for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen last summer. At 27 and with just a year remaining on his contract, there will be no shortage of suitors for the Dane. Tottenham want to replace him immediately as the club have been linked with a number of players of his profile.
PSG are one club who want the attacking midfielder who provided 10 goals and 17 assists this season as Tottenham reached the Champions League final. According to latest reports, they may offer Julian Draxler as part of the deal. 25 year old Draxler plays the same position and moved to PSG in 2017 but failed to live up to the hype of his Wolfsburg days.
Another option to replace Tottenham’s Eriksen could be Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso. He’s younger than Draxler and has been playing regularly for his club.
