Leeds’ Jack Clarke has given Twitter hint about Spurs move

Jack Clarke has been named increasingly over the weekend in relation to a Tottenham Hotspur move. Spurs have been bidding for a number of players in the transfer window but have yet to reach a breakthrough with anyone of them. Jack Clarke to Spurs could be the first transfer the club can complete this summer.

Jack Clarke’s Tottenham transfer is a bargain

Even before the social media hint from the player himself, Tottenham were reported to be making huge inroads with Leeds for his transfer. Yesterday we reported that the entire deal will be worth £13 million. It seems that Spurs have negotiated a measly up-front fee of £8.5m. The remaining will be linked to performance and appearance bonuses.

Leeds fans are already in arms against the club for selling the youngster for such a low price and at such an early stage in his development. There were rumours of the 18 year old being loaned back for the season to Leeds but it seems unlikely the closer this deal gets.

What he did on twitter to excite Spurs fans

Jack Clarke is active on social media like all 18 year old players are these days. He was out and about on twitter when he came across a tweet that referred the Jack Clarke to Spurs story and he couldn’t help but like it.

You don’t like a tweet linking you with the Champions League finalists unless you expect your club to sell you in short order. Afterall, this deal has been brewing since May at the very least.

The player may have made only four starts for Leeds United in the Championship but a great deal more will be expected of him at Spurs. If he can emulate Dele Alli on the pitch after arriving at a young age, that would be like lightning striking the same place twice but we trust Pochettino to get the best of a young talent like him.
