Lille is reported to have been discussing the proposal received from Liverpool for their striker Nicolas Pepe, according to French publication.
The 23-year-old has scored 19 goals and chipped in with 11 assists in 33 League 1 games for the club last season.
Liverpool has maintained their interest in bringing Nicolas Pepe to the Anfield as he could be a great addition to the squad.
The reports suggest that Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan have also submitted their offers in pursuit of the winger who has been valued at £63.2 m.
Pepe’s fantastic form in the last season fired Lille to a second-place finish in the league behind PSG.
Liverpool already has a superb front three, but Pepe would certainly provide more options to Klopp during the different facets of the game.
If Liverpool can secure the deal for Pepe, it could turn out to be a fantastic signing given that Pepe offers something different to what we’ve already got in our squad.
Pepe was a part of the Ivorian team at the African Cup of nations as they lost to Algeria in the quarter-finals.
He has also scored four goals in 15 appearances while playing for the national team.
Pepe scored his first international goal in an international friendly against Togo on 24th March 2018.
