The two English sides are ready for the face-off in European football’s biggest final to be played in Madrid on 1 June as both clubs likely to end their season with a trophy.

The Red’s secured their spot in the finals by coming from three goals down to seal an impressive 4-3 aggregate win over FC Barcelona in the semi-finals.

Spur’s also overcoming the odds in their semi-final tie against Ajax from behind to register an overwhelming win to set up a final clash against the Reds.

According to Former England star, Lineker Liverpool is the clear favourites heading into the tie.

Speaking in an interview, Lineker said: “Overall, a team against team, (Liverpool) have got the better players.

“They finished 20-odd points ahead of Tottenham this season, so it’s hard to make a case where Tottenham are favourites.

“But, as we know in football, the best teams don’t always win, which is one of the things that makes it so special.”

Spurs will be aiming to win the competition for the first time in their history, while Liverpool is desperate to bring their sixth European cup back to Anfield.

However, Klopp’s men are still to win their first major trophy under Jurgen Klopp since his appointment in October 2015.

Both the clubs have played brilliantly in the Champions League this season and it will be a nail-biting fixture for Europe’s prestigious trophy.
