Liverpool may release Taiwo Awoniyi this summer, as Reds will look to recoup £10 million for the youngster, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Awoniyi, since arriving at Liverpool has been out on loan several times featuring for clubs like FSV Frankfurt, NEC, Royal Mouscron and Gent.
The 21-year-old this season has netted 12 goals in 37 games during his second season with Mouscron.
Considering that he did not play for the Anfield side, getting £10 million for him would be a great deal.
Receiving such a considerable sum for Awoniyi would represent a great piece of business for Liverpool.
The youngster doesn’t have the skills required to make an impact in the first-team and selling him out seems to be the most viable option for the Merseyside this summer.
Awoniyi has proved that he is capable of scoring goals during his various loan spells and it looks that he will be leaving the Anfield permanently.
The Nigerian international has played nine matches for the Belgian Pro League and has scored seven goals and provided one assist this season.
While playing for Belgian’s first Division, A in the Europa League playoffs ix six matches he has scored two goals.
