Liverpool fans are eager to see Donny van de Beek join the Anfield this summer after watching his brilliant play for the Netherlands against England in the Nations League semifinals.

The Ajax star has been in a sublime form in the Champions League and in Eredivisie over the last 12 months and has maintained his form while playing for the national team as he and Frenkie de Jong and Georginio Wijnaldum scored the goals for Holland.

The Dutch won 3-1 against Gareth Southgate’s men and securing their place in the UEFA Nations League final where they will play against Portugal.

Earlier this week, the reports suggested that Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of Donny van de Beek, and Ajax has valued the Dutch midfielder at a £49million.

Van de Beek is the essential player at no.8 and is very similar to Frank Lampard in the way that he at times make his late runs into the box with perfection which saw him scoring 16 times for Ajax this season.

Like Klopp, Liverpool fans also want to see the 22-year-old join the club this summer.

Van de Beek hasn’t not only played as a midfielder goalscorer but also provided Ajax and Netherlands with a creative outlet, and provided assistance in 12 goals this season.

Jordan Henderson may have captured the hearts of Liverpool fans when he lifted the Champions League trophy last week but if Klopp gets the deal for van de Beek, he’d be in a tough competition for getting a place in the starting lineup.
