Adam Bogdan who joined Liverpool on a free from Bolton in 2015 is on a season long loan to Scottish club Hibernian. The Easter Road club have not started him since January when he suffered a head injury at Elgin City.
Bogdan initially tried a return to the squad post his preliminary treatment but has since been to a specialist. The story goes that as Bogdan began his rehabilitation on the training pitch, the symptoms of concussion returned and persisted.
“We had him in the squad when we came in as he returned from concussion but then he didn’t feel right,” he explained. “He wasn’t happy. He was still having the symptoms.”
Given how strict the rules have become over time about head injuries and concussion, they couldn’t be too careful. Some would argue though that Bogdan’s time at Anfield was cut short even before it began. These injuries will only make us feel even bad for the goalkeeper.
