Liverpool is keen to sign Swiss midfielder Joel Ribeiro this summer, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.
The 16-year-old has also attracted interest from a number of clubs like Inter Milan, Torino and Atalanta but Jurgen Klopp is currently tapping on the situation.
However, Ribeiro currently is not having a professional contract with his current club, Lausanne, which has alerted all the other clubs.
Inter Milan have shown the most desire to sign him, according to Sport Witness, although Liverpool is firmly in contention to land him.
Having represented Switzerland at several age groups, Ribeiro looks like he could go on and become a decent player.
Klopp has previously shown that he is not afraid to put youngsters in his first-team if they can prove they are good enough.
With Inter already interested in signing him, it will be tough for the Reds to take his services.
It will be an excellent opportunity for Ribeiro to hone his skills at Liverpool’s academy which is one of the best in England and the chance to take his career to the next level.
