Liverpool is reportedly interested in signing the Dutch star Sepp Van den Berg in this summer transfer window, according to Mirror
The 17-year-old is currently playing with the Eredivisie club, PEC Zwolle and has also appeared three times for the Netherlands U-19 team.
Reports suggest that Sampdoria is also in the race with Liverpool to sign the young defender Sepp van den Berg.
The Dutch defender is considered as a future great player especially given the talent that he possesses.
Like Virgil van Dijk and Matthijs de Ligt, Van den Berg is also a talented Dutch defender, it would certainly be an interesting signing for Liverpool as he could develop on to become a good player.
Liverpool will face stiff competition from Sampdoria for signing the Dutch star as the Italian club has reportedly already submitted a bid of €2.5m for the player.
Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards and chief scout Barry Hunter have said that Van den Berg possesses the talent and the skills to make his way into the first-team at the Anfield.
Liverpool is yet to make any signings in this summer transfer window despite being linked with many high-profile players.
Van den Berg played 16 games in the Eredivisie league last season and also helped PEC Zwolle to finish in 13th spot in the Dutch top flight.
