Liverpool is reportedly considering to include Divock Origi in a potential player exchange deal for the Real Betis left-back Junior Firpo.
The 24-year-old Belgian forward is yet to sign new terms of agreement with the Red’s, but Klopp is looking to cash in on Origi by involving him in a player exchange deal with Real Betis left-back Firpo.
According to reports in Express, Liverpool has maintained its interest in Firpo who can provide stiff competition to Andy Robertson in the left-back position, while Origi’s future is to be decided at the club.
Jurgen Klopp is aiming to add a left back in the squad for the next season following the departure of Alberto Moreno, upon the expiry of his contract.
Firpo would be a great addition to Liverpool’s defence as he is quick, possesses dangerous delivery and could turn out to be an ideal backup for Robertson.
Given his abilities and incredible skills, the Spanish international could provide fierce competition to Robertson in the next season for the spot in the first team.
Klopp could be tempted to include Origi in a player swap deal, given the Belgian forward has only one-year left on his current contract, and it has to be seen whether or not he would like to continue his stay.
