Recent reports suggest that Liverpool is still interested to call on their former striker Philippe Coutinho in this summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has endured a hard time at Barcelona since making a £142million switch to the Nou Camp from Liverpool in January 2018.
But it seems that Liverpool management wants to see Philippe Coutinho back at the Anfield since the signing of Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri hasn’t worked out for Klopp.
Liverpool chairman Tom Werner recently spoke about Coutinho.
Tom Werner said, “I have only good things to say about Philippe. But I think he left Liverpool because he wanted to play for one of the two big Spanish clubs.
“We tried to convince him that we had the club moving in the right direction and that he could experience big Champions League occasions by staying at Liverpool. I think he probably regrets his decision.”

The Spanish midfielder has not performed well at Barcelona and scored only five goals in the La Liga in the last season.
Coutinho is currently on the national duty for Brazil’s semifinal fixture against Argentina in the Copa America to be played on Wednesday.
