Liverpool is reportedly considering a move for Real Madrid star Marco Asensio in this summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old midfielder has chipped in with one goal and provided four assists for the club last season.

Liverpool is keen to sign Asensio as he would be an ideal fit in the Liverpool squad as he can provide cover to Mane in the wing position.

According to Spanish publication, El Desmarque, Liverpool would be able to secure a deal for Marco Asensio from Real Madrid for a reported fee of €75m.

The Spanish international had been on the radar of big European clubs like Bayern Munich and PSG, despite him signing a new contract with the club.

Marco Asensio’s performance hasn’t been consistent at the Santiago Bernabeu in the last two seasons as the winger has wasted most of his time on the bench.

Klopp has been an admirer of Asensio and feels that Liverpool could tempt the Spaniard by offering him first-team minutes in the next season.

Asensio joined Real Madrid in November 2014 and since then, he has won several honours with the club which includes two Champions League trophies.

Asensio made his debut for Spain in 2016 and was a part of the squad for the FIFA World Cup 2018.
