The 22-year-old winger has scored 22 goals in La Liga in the last season.

Liverpool is interested in signing Dembele as Jurgen Klopp is very much impressed with Dembele’s performance in Spain and he thinks that he can get the best out of the Frenchman at the Anfield.

According to L’Equipe, Liverpool had initially contacted Dembele as Klopp wants to strengthen his attacking options.

Meanwhile, Barcelona has indicated that they would only accept an initial offer in the range of £93m if Liverpool submits an offer for Dembele.

However, Klopp is not looking for any replacement in the squad but wants to create a competition in the front three lineups ahead of the next campaign.

Dembele, despite suffering from a series of injuries and spending most of the time on the sidelines last campaign, is still keen to prove himself at the Barcelona.

Klopp knows Dembele from his days at the Dortmund and feels that he can prove to be worthwhile addition if he can convince him on a transfer, given that Salah, Mane and Firmino are already the preferred choices for Klopp in the attacking lineup.

Dembele is one of the most exciting talents in French football with 16 international caps and two international goals to his name.
