ESPN pundit Craig Burley has advised Liverpool to sign Antoine Griezmann this summer as he believes that the World Cup winner would be an ideal fit for the Reds.
While Jurgen Klopp doesn’t require too many starters to his side but fans would love to see the likes of Griezmann join Liverpool.
Craig Burley told ESPN, quotes via the Daily Star: “I actually think that Liverpool would be a great place for Griezmann to go this summer,” Burley told ESPN FC.
“Liverpool are very much a team on the up at the moment, and he could aid Roberto Firmino who also likes to drop deep.
“You look at that and we talk about Liverpool needing that strength in depth, he would add that and Firmino or Salah some games might sit out.”
The French international is reportedly available for £108 million but is most likely to join Barcelona.
The Red’s will be looking to sign a younger, more versatile forward who can play second fiddle to Sadio Mane the next season.
It is unlikely that Klopp will sign Griezmann as he wants to maintain the balance of the squad.
Signing someone for over the £100million with huge wages might upset that balance somewhat and make Klopp’s job that much harder to do as a result.
