The 22-years-old Spanish international has made 13 appearances for the La Liga outfit in all the competitions last season.
Firpo could be a great addition to the Liverpool squad, as he possesses quick pace, and also, he is good at winning air tackles, skilful in blocking the shots and decent at the passing side of his game.
Alberto Moreno has already left the Reds on a free transfer this month, leaving Andy Robertson as the only left-back in Jurgen Klopp’s senior squad, and Firpo could be an exciting addition for Liverpool, who has the ability not only to defend but, also to move forward with the attack.
Anyhow, Firpo wouldn’t come so cheap given that, he has a release clause of €50 million inserted into his current contract, so Liverpool will have to shell out some serious cash for the left-back.
He has emerged as one of the best left-back in La Liga when he was promoted to the first team from Betis B after being recruited from Puerto Malagueño. In his debut season with the club, he made 14 appearances and scored two goals and provided two assists.
Firpo is currently on the national duty for Spain in the U-21 European Championship with upcoming matches to be played against Italy and San Marino.
