Liverpool has submitted a bid of £45m to Lyon for signing the French midfielder Nabil Fekir in the summer window, according to Dailystar
The French international was very close to sealing a switch to Anfield, before the last summer’s World Cup.
But Klopp had pulled away from the deal, stating fears over the surgery Fekir had undergone on a knee injury.
Meanwhile, the emerging reports state that Liverpool boss is set to renew the transfer, as he aims to build on Liverpool’s Champions League glory.
According to Italian journalist Nicolas Schira, Liverpool has offered Fekir a new five-year contract worth around £3.5m per season.
His tweet affirms that Lyon chief Jean-Michel Aulas is demanding just £45m for the 25-year-old.
That could be a promising price-tag given the fact that the Lyon skipper has just 12 months left on his current contract.
“Jurgen Klopp has reignited his interest in Nabil Fekir, and he would buy him from Olympique Lyon,” Schira tweeted.
“Aulas wants at least €50M for his player.

The media reports in France suggest that a friendly fixture to be played between Lyon and Liverpool in Switzerland on July 31 may play a part in negotiations.
Fekir has chipped in 12 goals and provided nine assists in 39 games for Lyon, as the club secured a third-place finish in Ligue- 1 last year.
Well, it seems that Fekir maybe donning the Red’s jersey the next season at Anfield and Liverpool fans will get to watch his brilliant skills unfold in the midfield with Klopp keen to bring him to the Merseyside club.
