Both Harry Winks and Eric Dier are out of contention to face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. In their absence, the player most likely to start for Spurs would be Victor Wanyama.

It is a scenario that would surely entice Jurgen Klopp and his men.

Surely it is one thing to have the kind of presence that a ball winning midfielder gives (Wanyama) and the kind that is provided by midfield artisans like Harry Winks.

Eric Dier is maybe more akin to what Wanyama provides but has only played 1200 minutes this season in the league.

Jurgen Klopp would be relieved that defensively, they would have to work a bit less thanks to the kind of changes that would allow Tottenham to play a competitive game.
