Premier League Champions, Manchester City takes on the European Champions, Liverpool live for the first silverware of the season.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have had a poor pre-season campaign, but the return of big stars like Mohamad Salah and Roberto Firmino have boosted the Reds squad which was evident in their 3-1 win against Lyon last week.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will be looking to add yet another silverware after making a domestic clean-sweep last season.

Liverpool have been boosted by the return of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, and Alisson amongst others, while the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita are also back from their respective injuries and could feature in the game.

For Manchester City, Benjamin Mendy is out with yet another knee injury, however, everyone else should be fit and available for the selection including Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus who arrived late after taking part in the International duties in the summer.

It’s a tough one to call. While Liverpool have been poor in their preseason games, Manchester City haven’t been at their best either.

It could go either way, however, we predict a win for Liverpool on the penalties after the extra time ends 1-1.
