Liverpool has reportedly shown interest in signing the Torino’s forward Andrea Belotti in this summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old striker has chipped in with 17 goals in 39 appearances for the Series A club last season.
Liverpool wants to sign Belotti, as he could be available for a reported fee of £63m, and given the fact that he’s relatively young and has a decent goal-scoring abilities, he could be a great addition to the Liverpool squad.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to bolster his attack, following the departure of Daniel Sturridge this season that has affected Liverpool’s depth in the forward department.
The Italian international, Belotti, is a kind of player, who can create an impact when operating in and around the penalty box and can compete with Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino for the lone Striker spot.
The reports in Calcio Mercato Web suggest that Belotti is a more mature player now and despite his increased market value Liverpool should make an attempt for him.
Belotti made his senior debut for the national team in a friendly against France played on September 2016 which Italy lost by 3-1.
He scored his first goal for the senior team on 9th October, which was the opening goal of their world cup qualification match against Macedonia.
He had also played a World Cup-2018 qualification match on 5th September against Israel.
