Liverpool is very much interested in signing Marco Asensio this summer, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Daily Mirror, states that the Reds are preparing for a fresh move to bring the 23-year-old from Real Madrid to Anfield in the summer transfer window.
While Mundo Deportivo, a Spanish sports paper claims that Real still have little interest in selling Asensio, but Klopp is hopeful of pulling off the signing and will insist his club try to lure the star to the Premier League.
Keeping the next season in mind, Red’s boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to bolster his attacking and Asensio could be an affordable option for him.
However, Asensio has a contract at the Bernabeu till 2023 along with a release clause of €700m.
The 23-year-old has not performed well and struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Real Madrid this season with just 18 starts in the La Liga.
The attacking midfielder has only scored one goal and made four assists in a total of 28 La Liga games for the club so far this season.
He may get an option for searching a new club for himself as he is still a regular starter with the national side.
