Red’s boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to bolster his ranks at the Anfield for the next term, as he seeks to guide his side to their first Premier League title in 29 years after losing the domestic title by a point to Manchester City.
French publication L’Equipe states that Liverpool is very close in a £70 million deal to sign Pepe, while Spanish outlet Sport suggests that De Ligt’s agent Mino Raiola is having talks with him to move to Anfield.
The Merseyside outfit already has a bunch of quality players, given that if they both are included in the lineup, they might be unbeatable.
Pepe, aged 24, is one of the talented wingers in the game, and was in great form for Lille last season, scoring 23 goals and providing on 12 assists in 41 appearances in across all the competitions.
While De Ligt just at 19, has consolidated himself as one of the best centre-backs in the world of football after enjoying a glorious campaign with the Dutch.
Given the abundance of talent in both the players if Liverpool can bring the deal to the table for the duo in coming months, they will be dominating for the few seasons to come, both domestically and in Europe.
