Liverpool’s ‘Allez Allez Allez’ chanted by Cardiff fans along with Reds

It was a weird match that began with incense being burned at the Cardiff City stadium. Apparently in a bid to bring luck and fortune to the beleaguered Welsh side.

It seems however, that the Cardiff folks can’t catch a break after Liverpool broke their dreams of a survival, at least today. The Reds won 2-0 thanks to goals from Georginio Wijnaldum and James Milner.

During the game, a most bizzare sight was on show, or rather to hear: Cardiff fans copying and imitating the ‘Allez Allez Allez’ chants that has been a Liverpool song for more than a year now.

In all fairness, Liverpool fans made it up during a trip to Porto but since then local musician and fans have made it their own.

Don’t get mistaken though, their iteration of the chant was all about Cardiff City, with only the words ‘Allez’ being common to both. Still, imitation is flattery. So thank a Cardiff fan next time you see them, which may not be for some time now.
