Tottenham have been hard at work in the past few weeks as the club seeks to finally sign a new player since Lucas Moura in the January 2018 window. As a barrage of players are being linked with the club, it is important to segregate actual transfer from rumours. Tanguy NDombele is certainly one player who is being lined up by Tottenham for a transfer this summer.

NDombele’s Spurs transfer held up by Lyon

It seems that Tottenham made a bid with Lyon for the 22-year old France midfielder. There are two apparent reasons for the club not yet completing a deal with the French side- first being that Lyon need to secure a replacement first. Second is the fact that the clubs might have been a bit apart in their valuations and Tottenham’s bid did not satisfy Jean-Michel Aulas’ demands.

Tottenham have been explicitly asked by Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas to pay up to their demands. Now, it is upto Daniel Levy to negotiate the right price for the midfielder currently valued at £63 million. Either way, his signing will break Tottenham’s previous record fee of £42 million the club paid for Davinson Sanchez.

Multiple reports in Portugal have indicated that Olympic Lyon have beaten competition from Spanish clubs for the signature of central midfielder Jean Lucas. The 20 year old is owned by Flamengo but has been on loan at Santos since February.

Aulas’ had already declared that if a player in the same position arrives, people can understand it as an indicator of the club moving ahead with shipping out Tottenham target Tanguy NDombele. So? It’s Happening!
