Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has told the club’s official website that Nabil Fekir wants to leave the club this summer amid Liverpool’s interest in the French forward .

The 25-year-old had expressed his desire to make a move to the Anfield; however, the deal fell out at the very last minute in the summer of 2018, after concerns over his fitness, according to Telegraph

The French publication Le Progress recently claimed that Liverpool has still maintained their interest in signing the Lyon ace.

Fekir would be an ideal addition for Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven, given his ability to play in the number 10 role.

The French international has chipped in with 12 goals and provided in nine assists in 39 appearances for Lyon in the last campaign.

Fekir, being a great technical player, with an eye for a clinical pass, would surely take Liverpool’s attack to the next level as Jurgen Klopp is keen to reinforce the Red’s attack for the upcoming season.

Fekir has played 21 matches for the French team and has scored two goals.
