Man United are all set to sign Daniel James from Swansea amid reports that they could miss out on Jadon Sancho in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident of landing the winger in quick time as he’s also urged Ed Woodward to complete the club’s transfer business by July 1st.

James will sign for the Red Devils for an initially reported fee of £15m which could rise to £20m with add ons.

United are refraining from pursuing Sancho after Borussia Dortmund made it very clear that the teenage sensation is not for sale.

Earlier the England international was touted as United’s primary target as Solskjaer sought Sancho as the player who he could build the squad around at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils were earlier confident of landing Sancho with an £80m bid plus add ons but given Christian Pulisic’s imminent departure to Chelsea in the summer has left the Germans with no options but to hold on to Sancho with all their might.

United’s inability to qualify for next season’s Champions League also complicates the scenario as it is not clear whether the German would give up on playing in the competition.

Considering all the factors into play United have now gone cold in their pursuit of Sancho and look to sign James, who is good with both his feet and can solve the club’s right-wing conundrum.

So, it finally looks like after Enduring the failure of high profile stars like Radamel Falcao, Angel Di Maria and Alexis Sanchez, Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to give an opportunity to a player who has a lot to prove.
