Manchester fans are upset after the club have reportedly fallen out of the transfer race to sign Ajax captain Matthijs De Ligt.
De Ligt had a night to forget in the UEFA Nations League finale as he was at fault for Goncalo Guedes’ 60th-minute winner.
However, now that the national duty is done, speculations regarding his future have caught fire and Manchester United fans have been delivered a telling blow.
RAC1 journalist Gerard Romero has said that United’s proposal has been put on the back burner by De Ligt’s representatives leaving Barcelona, Paris Saint Germain and Juventus to fight for his signature.
United fans who saw him as the focal point of the club’s resurgence were distraught after hearing the news and have taken to social media to voice their disappointment.

See how we have gotten as a club, quality players no longer see us as a right CLUB to sign up for
This is as a result of Ed Woodward and the Glazers Cluelessness about football business.
